William meets James. James get's "circ'd"

This morning William met James for the first time. He was interested in his brother, but no more interested in him than in the buses outside the window, the light swtiches or the myriad technical controls in the average hospital room.

James has had a big day so far. He was circumsized (or "circ'd" as they say here) at the crack of dawn. It's never easy to let them take your boy for such a barbaric procedure, but I suppose it's for the best. He's been sleeping ever since, and slept right through his hearing test.

We've had about enough of the hospital. We're headed home after lunch in a couple hours. Posted by Picasa

It's a boy!

James Bransford Ferguson arrived this morning at 1:11 am. He weighs 8 lbs 3ozs and measures 19 inches long. Genny was fantastic! She was a real pro and showed great strength once again. We're in room 455 at CPMC and can't wait to go home! Posted by Picasa

The calm before the storm

I've got an strong feeling that the baby is coming within the next 24 hours. I certainly hope so because we're ready! Jim and Weedy arrive tomorrow night at 9 pm so hopefully they won't miss the fireworks.

Stay tuned... Posted by Picasa

Welcome

Welcome to the Ferguson Family Blog! Genny and I started this to provide a way for our friends and family to easily keep tabs on our ever-changing lives. Genny was initially against the idea, but I think Weedy's enthusiasm for it changed her mind.

As I write, we're anxiously awaiting the newest addition to our family. I'm 80% sure it's a boy (I know what I saw on that damn sonor); Genny is 75% sure it's a girl. I just hope one of us is right.

More to come...
