Yeah, it was bad...

What can I say? I have a little anger management problem. Just kidding. This is the start of what will become a great new upstairs bathroom. It better be a great. It's ridiculous what it costs to remodel in this city, but I don't want to go off on a rant.

The best part about this project is that we'll end up with 2 sinks. We're gonna need them both, especially with William and James in the mix.

I'll post pics of the finished job later.

William blasts off

We had a great Christmas this year with stops in Nashville, Hopkinsville, Louisville and Grand Cayman. William learned to swim (well, swim with water wings) at the beach and really liked jumping in the pool. Here's a clip of his very first 'blast off'. Happy new year!

This is a couple weeks old but I forgot to post it. William is totally obsessed with trucks, especially fire engines. So much so, that I've heard him screaming "fire truck!" in the middle of the night from his crib. I took him to the fire station to pay homage and he really enjoyed himself. If you click thru the image you can see a bunch more of the photos.

I just got James this Boomba thingy. It's a great little chair for tykes and he seems to like it. We're a few weeks away from having our new deck completed, which will be fantastic. It's so much bigger than the old one -- we can't wait. It's been a pain to live through though. As soon as the deck is finished we'll begin a project to paint the house. Trying to agree on a color palette with our neighbors should be, ahem, interesting.

It's been awhile since my last post, and I thought you'd want to see how much James has grown. This is a pretty typical picture of him -- it seems like everytime I look at him he smiles. Wiliam has been a good big bro, but I can sense his growing anticipation of their first scuffle. I've just posted a whole bunch of new photos on Flickr, so just click the photo to browse them.

William turned 2 today and we kicked off the day right with a ridiculously noisy Fire Engine (his new fetish) and new "man stove" (yep, it's plenty masculine for my boy). We celebrated William's birthday a few weeks ago with his cousin Eliza Spaght. You can view pics of this party here.
